NINA CEN
Hi, I'm Nina! I'm a fourth year environmental engineering student, and I have been involved with the Civil Club since my first year. I am running for President with my friend Aline because we are very passionate about providing resources and services to all civil engineering students.
In my spare time, I like to play piano and learn more about music and its history (yes, really). I'm also been cooking a lot since moving back to Edmonton, and I like to go for a skate on the weekend if my schedule allows for it.

ALINE LJUBICHICH
Hi, I'm Aline! I'm a fourth year civil engineering student, and I have been involved with the Civil Club and the ESS since my second year. I am running for President with my friend Nina because we believe we have an exciting and unique vision for the future of the Civil Club.
In my spare time, I like to play piano and also harmonica (I'm currently trying to learn Piano Man). In the winter, I love to ski and in the summer, I enjoy hiking and backpacking.
Fun fact: I was the mastermind behind Kony 2020 (if you know you know).
ACCOMPLISHMENTS & EXPERIENCE
CO-VP TECH 2020-21

We served as co-Vice President of the Civil Club this year, overlooking Technical affairs. To increase student engagement in difficult times, we aimed to host new and unique events that would help civil engineering students succeed this year and for years to come. We reinstated the Hard Hat Ceremony for second years to learn about civil engineering, and we held the first-ever Research Panel to help students get involved in research.
ESS EXPERIENCE

Since our second year, we have been involved in clubs such as the Engineering Students' Society (ESS). Nina served as Vice-President of Student Life from 2018-2019, and Aline served as Vice-President Finance from 2018-2019, and Vice-President External from 2019-2020. Between the two of us, we have 6 years of experience as executives in student groups.
We are excited to transfer our skills and knowledge from ESS to the Civil Club!
BEST BUDS

Nina and Aline first met at the First Year Retreat in 2017 and immediately became friends. We later both ran for Vice-President positions in ESS, and supported each other with our ESS responsibilities and school in our second year. In third year, we decided to run for Vice-President Technical of the Civil Club and won. After this incredibly difficult year of school, work, and Civil Club responsibilities, our friendship and working relationship has only solidified. We believe our friendship will not only solidify our partnership as co-Presidents, but also encourage a friendly atmosphere amongst the Civil Club Executive Team.
